"Bullet the Blue Sky" is the fourth track from U2's album, The Joshua Tree. The song is one of the band's most overtly politically toned songs, with live performances often being heavily critical of war and guns. Today it receives regular airplay on rock radio stations.

I am a younger U2 fan and this is there best album in my opinion. Out of the ones I have listened to this is the most consistent and sophisticated. What makes it great for me is the lyrics. Every song is passionate written and I love the variety of topics, from war in Bullet the Blue Sky to Bono's Māori friend in One Tree /5(K).

The Zeppelin-esque 'Bullet The Blue Sky' and the wickedly haunting 'Red Hill Mining Town' and the Joshua tree inspired 'In God's Country' make this album the most celebrated album of the eighties. Haters be a hating, there's no denying Daniel Lanois took the band into the stratosphere and all it took was a trip to California.
